New benchmarks of the new MacBook Air

The MacBook Air was introduced in a revised version at WWDC 2012, On the design of the MacBook, nothing has changed, but the hardware. The new MacBook Air, the new Intel processors and the Intel Ivy Bridge built HD 4000 graphics chips.
Apple currently offers four versions of the MacBook Airs.
11 inch versions
  • 1.7 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB of flash memory, Intel HD Graphics 4000
  • 1.7 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB RAM, 128 MB flash memory, Intel HD Graphics 4000

13 inch versions
  • 1.8 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB RAM, 128 MB flash memory, Intel HD Graphics 4000
  • 1.8 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB RAM, 256 MB flash memory, Intel HD Graphics 4000


We had recently reported about the first ever Geekbenchs the new MacBook Air, but has "ArsTechnica" conducted extensive testing with a MacBook and can go through numerous benchmarks. In addition to the CPU and SSD storage capacity and graphics performance for a more accurate test was performed.
The new MacBook Air has selected depending on the version and test a significant increase in performance to its predecessor.
